

Next 16, 17 and 18 of February, the Market of Colon will receive the V edition of the Competition of Schools of Pastry of the valencian Region.
The contest has four categories: artistic Fantasy, Tart, salty Buffet in miniature and Assortment of chocolates.
More than one hundred of pupils of Pastry will take part in the competition.
One of the innovations of this year is the category "Assortment of Chocolates", because the chocolates must to be done with tigernut and / or its derivatives. Furthermore, the chocolates of this variety will be the only ones tasted by the juror.
The "Gremio de Maestros Confiteros de Valencia y Provincia" want to give protagonism to the Tigernut of Valencia, one of the products more tipical from this region, stating its potential and versatility applied to the cuisine.
